Dr. Markus Hummel

General Manager

Alongside his studies in Economics in Vienna (member of the Center of Excellence), Dr. Hummel completed a doctoral program with distinction on the deregulation of the European electricity industry, as well as an MBA at the University of Oxford. After holding executive assistant positions at Verbundgesellschaft and BA/CA Futures AG, he specialized in the energy sector from the year 2000 onward with his company Oxford Consult (based in Oxford and London). Together with a selected team of experts, he carried out projects for the international “who’s who” of the energy industry (including Shell, BG, E.ON, governmental regulatory authorities, and many other companies).

In addition, Dr. Hummel specialized in advising growth companies in the energy sector. Around 2005, he became involved with enerbility software GmbH (energy trading, Vienna), joined the management board in 2006, and remained in this role until the successful exit to the U.S.-based energy software company Triple Point Technology in 2009. With nearly 20 years of experience in the energy sector, Dr. Hummel founded Oxford Energy in 2012 as a sister company to Oxford Consult.

Dr. Hummel is also a co-author of the book “Venture Capital and Initial Public Offerings” (Manz Publishing) and has lectured at Danube University Krems, the BFI, and the WIFI.

DI Andreas Hausleitner

Energy Trading Software Specialist

After studying computer science at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Mr Hausleitner provided IT-related support to various companies in the start-up sector, both strategically and operationally with numerous initial product solutions.

In 2004, Mr Hausleitner was one of the founding members of enerbility software GmbH (automation software for energy trading deal confirmations) and from 2006 until its sale to the American software company Triple Point Technology in 2009, he was also Technical Director.

He remained with enerbility as a key person until July 2011. In 2017, Mr. Hausleitner became a shareholder in Modocu Software GmbH.

As a software architect and software developer, Mr Hausleitner works with the software technologies and concepts Java, Groovy, J2EE, XML, Spring, Hibernate, ebXML, BPEL, web security, web services, noSQL, TDD, AOP, OOAD.

Ing. Nicola Baldina, MBA

Senior Consultant

Nicola Baldina has an Engineering background having obtained his University Master Graduation on Electronic Engineering from University of Padova in Italy.
He spent the first 15 years of his career in the Telecommunications industry working for a major multinational corporation and developing a broad Sales & Marketing experience in the BtoB area. He was involved in the biggest mobile telecommunication projects in South European countries with a focus on Italy.
Since 2009, Nicola moved in the Energy business after having achieved an MBA in “Green and Sustainable Energy” from University e-Campus.
Initially he developed a strong understanding of the Renewable Energy business, mainly focused on PV and Wind, working with leading EPC companies in Italy (Enerqos, Leitner Solar) and closing multimillion Euro deals with International Investments funds and with Companies willing to invest directly in renewable business.
In 2013 he joined EnergyQuote JHA (later acquired by Accenture) as a Senior Consultant to develop the Energy Consulting business with Italian Corporates and to follow existing international accounts in Italy.
During this period Nicola has deepened his knowledge of Energy Markets Legislation and Regulatory topics, always supporting companies to develop a strategic approach to Energy in order to take advantage of opportunities and avoid unnecessary risks.
He has also been involved also in shaping, selling and supporting a number of Energy Efficiency projects for international clients.
His ultimate goal is to identify the best solutions fitting clients needs, fully integrating latest technologies (IoT, Analytics, Cloud Data) with his extensive knowledge of Energy Markets and of Energy Regulatory and Legislative aspects.

KR Ing. Otto Musilek

Senior Executive Advisor

Mr. Musilek attended the technical institution of higher education in the field of electro-technology. He started to work for the natural gas division of OMV in 1976 and was entrusted with the development of the natural gas business in different leading positions. Additionally, he was project manager of the Working Group of the West-Austria-Gas Pipeline from 1976 to 1980.

Since 1997 Mr. Musilek had been the head of natural gas division and from 2001 to 2007 Managing Director of OMV Gas GmbH. Furthermore, he has held numerous additional international positions, among others

– Austrian Representative of IGU (International Gas Union / Council and Executive Committee)

– Representative of EUROGAS

– Board Member of GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe)

Dr. Robert Schneider

Rechtsanwalt

Robert Schneider is General Partner of SchneideR’S Rechtsanwalts-KG (Attorney-at-law LLP), which he founded in 2003, and supports Oxford Energy in (energy) legal issues.

He is a qualified tax consultant, auditor and licensed attorney. Robert has more than 30 years of professional experience, including 20 years as a lawyer.

His practice includes in particular energy, corporate and commercial law as well as tax law. His clients are national and international companies and business people as well as private individuals.

Robert Schneider has written numerous articles on corporate, tax and energy law in national and international journals. He is a member of the Vienna Bar Association, the Chamber of Tax Consultants and Auditors and the International Fiscal Association.

He studied at the University of Vienna, where he received a Master of Law and a doctorate, and at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, where he received a Master of Business Administration.  He speaks German, English and Russian.

Massimiliano Rocco

Energy Security & Climate Change Expert

Massimiliano Rocco holds a master degree in Economics and international Studies from the University of Trieste Italy.

In the last 12 years, he lived abroad in Asia and Europe. He worked in Beijing, China as a project manager for an Italian company operating in the oil and gas energy technology sector. He prepared and coordinated the first tender project of the Sichuan-Shanghai gas pipeline and implemented the company head office including a joint venture plan and strategy coordination with the Chinese energy companies CNOOC and SINOPEC.
In 2009, Massimiliano attended a Master in Public Affairs at Instituts d’études politiques, Sciences-Po University in Paris to major in Energy Management and Economics. During this time he collaborated with the European Climate Foundation in drafting the Institute roadmaps of de-carbonization strategy and developed an EU approach to low-carbon emissions policies.

Since 2011 he has been working in Consulting and for a Non-Profit company on energy security and climate change issues related to public affairs.

DI Cosmin Capra, EMBA

Senior Energy Expert

Mr. Capra has successfully completed the technical university of Cluj-Napoca/Klausenburg in Romania with the focus on electronics & telekommunications. Additionally, he did the Executive MBA of Vienna University of Economics / Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien.
After managerial activities for HCS GmbH and RomTelecom, Mr. Capra has built up the new ‘Location Romania’ for Holzindustrie Schweighofer between 2003 and 2011. This included the management of a € 70 Mio. investment, from Green-Field to € 350 Mio. turnover and 2,000 employees. Consequently, the company was awarded the “International Investment of the Year 2004“-prize of the OECD.

Subsequently, Mr. Capra has been active as energy and steel production expert. Among others, he has managed the build up of the first CHP biomass plant on Romanian soil (16 MWel.) and additionally the construction of a 30 MWel. biomass plant in Romania. Additionally, Mr. Capra has been responsibe for ‘Steel Degassing’-projects in the Ukraine and Turkey.

Furthermore, he is has a trader’s license for OPCOM Bukarest (Romanian Energy Exchange) and EXAA Wien (Energy Exchange Austria). Mr. Capra is managing energy projects for Oxford Energy in Eastern Europe with a special focus on Romania.
