COST & COMPLIANCE

This package includes specific legal obligations in the energy and environmental sector for medium-sized to large companies (“compliance”). The package enables companies to increase the efficiency of their energy consumption and efficiently comply with legal obligations in this regard. In addition to management and the relevant employees, this package also involves the rest of the workforce (some of whom are legally obliged to do so) to ensure a sustainable impact.

In this context, the client company already fulfills part of EMAS, relevant EN and ISO certifications and implements an important step on the way to a comprehensively efficient company.

1) Area (energy and environment) Legal register

The best way to keep track of all the requirements for a company is to create a legal register that includes all the legislation that the company must comply with and regularly review its compliance.

As energy consumption is of great economic importance, a legal and regulatory framework has been created at EU level and by national governments to promote more efficient energy use. Following these requirements is also an essential part of a well-functioning (energy) management system.

2) Area of energy efficiency law

Large and medium-sized companies must introduce an energy management system (EnMS) in accordance with EN 16001 / ISO 50001, obtain certification or at least have an external energy audit carried out periodically. They must also

  • the introduction of an energy management system (EnMS)

  • or report the performance of an external energy audit to the national energy efficiency monitoring body.
